    During March, the Rotary Club of Indianapolis is hosting our first ever March Membership Mania Tournament!

    We have planned special events to showcase the Best of Rotary during March. If you have been interested in ramping up your Rotary engagement, now is the time!     2017 Chili Cook-Off Winner!

    Congratulations to Rotarian Norm Melzer who captured the 4th Annual Rotary Chili Cook-off win on Wednesday, October 4th at the Triton Tap Room in Broad Ripple as part of our 5:31 Club.

    Norm was awarded the Silver Ladle Traveling Trophy and was recognized at our weekly meeting on October 10th. Marie Koenig came in 2nd (again) and Matt Burnett and Dave Stamper tied for 3rd. There were over 30 attendees and 15 new members served as judges.

    Join fellow Rotarians for an up-close-and-person tour of our Club’s history during this private tour, arranged for by our History Committee. Join us early for lunch at the on-site cafe at 12 p.m. if you can.

  • 5:31 Club, November 1, Salute To Veterans and Support A Rotary Business!

    Join us for a special Veteran’s Day themed 5:31 event at Hotel Tango Distillery on Wednesday, November 1. We will have a special “5:31” cocktail using Hotel Tango’s special Veteran’s Day labels gin! A portion of our cocktail proceeds will go to HVAF- a nonprofit that supports homeless vets.

    Remember: not only is Hotel Tango the first craft distillery in Indy, co-owned by Rotarian Brian Willsey, but it’s also the first service-disabled combat-veteran owned distillery in the country. What a combination of service and networking! See you there on November 1!

    • Bring your dog to visit Metazoa Brewing, a pet-friendly craft brewery in downtown Indy (there’s a dog park for them!)
    • Please donate a bag of dry cat or dog food (preferably Purina brand) for F.I.D.O., Marie Koenig’s not for profit organization
    • Metazoa Brewing is donating 10% of sales of pints & growlers to F.I.D.O.
    • Union Jack food truck available

    Metazoa Brewing & The Rotary Club of Indianapolis are partnering with F.I.D.O. for a 3 week pet food drive culminating in a give-back event on 9/6/2017.
    10% of all pint & growlers sales during this time will go directly to F.I.D.O. to help families feed and protect their pets, despite financial hardship.

    Our club will NOT be meeting for lunch on June 27.  Instead, we hope you’ve purchased your tickets for the Celebration Dinner, which will be a delightful opportunity to gather and celebrate the Rotary year that has been all about Stepping Up to Serve!

    Attire for the evening is Business/ After Five

    Registration Opens and Social Hour Begins: 5:30 p.m.
    Dinner and Program Begin: 6:30 p.m.

    Please note:

    • Onsite parking is $5 cash per car. Carpooling or Taxi/Uber is encouraged.

    • If you haven’t purchased your after party tickets yet, you can purchase at the door.

    • There will be complimentary wine while supplies last and a cash bar available – credit cards are accepted at the bar.

    5:31 meet-and-greets are our most popular event get-togethers. Just “show-up! Or, for more details contact the Rotary at 317-631-3733! They are a fun way to get to know folks outside of our regular Tuesday programs. We always meet at a new location somewhere in the city and it is never dull!

    Come enjoy Rotarian fellowship and the history of these fine locations.

    Early bird meet up at Ralston’s DraftHouse, 635 Mass Ave from 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM

    Our second stop is Livery, 720 N College Ave from 5:31 PM – 6:15 PM

    The third and final stop this year is St. Joseph Brewery & Public House located at 540 N. College. If you haven’t seen this church turned pub, this is your chance to experience it! We’ll meet here at 6:15 to ???.

    June 20: Annual Rotary vs Kiwanis Softball Game

    Once again, The Indianapolis Indians will host the Annual Rotary vs Kiwanis Softball Game! Help us retain the Babe!

    This year, the game will be on Tuesday, June 20th. Game time is at 5:10 p.m., with an Indians game beginning at 7:05 p.m. Each ticket is $15.00 and children under 3 are free. A portion of every ticket will go to our own Indianapolis Rotary Foundation. Register and Pay here!

    Details:

    • Gates open at 5 p.m. (3rd base side)
    • Softball game starts at 5:10 p.m. (approximately) to 6:10 p.m.
    • Indianapolis Indians game starts at 7:05 p.m.

    Ladies & Gentlemen! Start your engines and kick off May in Indy by joining us for a special 5:31 event at 1911 Grill & SIK (Speedway Indoor Karting). You are welcome anytime from 5:31 PM to 7:00 PM. The address is 1067 Main Street, Speedway, IN
