    March 13: Board of Directors Election

    As Club Secretary, I am excited to announce the official start of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis Board of Directors election process. On March 13 we will elect seven new directors who will serve a two year term. Candidate info forms are available for review by clicking here.

    Rotary members in good standing are eligible to vote via absentee ballot or in person on March 13.  Download the Absentee Ballot here.

    Completed forms can be emailed to Kelly Tingle. You can also email the names of the seven individuals you choose to Kelly Tingle. It is important that you identify yourself in that email or your vote will not count. Absentee voting must be complete by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13.

    Our Board of Directors helps set the tone, vision and even character of our club for years to come. Thank you in advance for participating in the election and ensuring we have continued outstanding leadership.

    During March, the Rotary Club of Indianapolis is hosting our first ever March Membership Mania Tournament!

    We have planned special events to showcase the Best of Rotary during March. If you have been interested in ramping up your Rotary engagement, now is the time!     The Rotary Club of Indianapolis is proud to announce the candidates for our Board of Directors. Fourteen candidates have been divided into two teams, the “Hubs” and “Spokes” and will be presenting their qualifications and passions during our lunch program on Tuesday, March 6. Rotarians will select seven directors on Tuesday, March 13. In the meantime, this is your chance to get to know some of the candidates by reading the info forms that each candidate completed.     Celebrate Chin National Day on Feb. 17

    Celebrate Chin National Day with our friends in the Chin Community. Event will be held on Saturday 2/17 from 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM at Emmerich Manual High School at 2405 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. There will be singing, dancing, a fashion show and much more. Adults and children are welcome. There will be fun and food in the Gymnasium from 1:30 – 5:30 PM. Mayor Hogsett will make some remarks around 12:30 PM. You will not want to miss this lively and colorful celebration.

     

  • February 7, 5:31 Club Blind Wine Tasting Results Announced!

    At our February 5:31 meeting, Rotarian Matt Burnett and his wife Jill hosted over 30 attendees for a Blind Wine Tasting.

    Guests brought a bottle of wine valued at less than $25 and participated in a blind wine tasting via an electronic voting app. All experienced a great networking event and a time to reconnect with friends.   • January 3, Rotary 5:31 Club, The Rathskeller

    Have you missed your Rotary friends over the holidays? Join us for the next 5:31 Club to reconnect! We’ll be at the Rathskeller Restaurant, 401 E Michigan St, Indianapolis, on Wednesday, Jan. 3. from 5:31ish to 7:30ish. See ya then!

    5:31 meet-and-greets are our most popular event get-togethers. Just “show-up! Or, for more details contact the Rotary at 317-631-3733! They are a fun way to get to know folks outside of our regular Tuesday programs. We always meet at a new location somewhere in the city and it is never dull!

  • 28th Street Closure at Ivy Tech

    Please note that starting January 2 through the end of October 2018, Meridian and Pennsylvania Streets will be closed at 28th Street near Ivy Tech Community College Culinary and Conference Center. Please allow yourself extra time to get to Rotary on Tuesdays during this project.

    Detours will be clearly posted during construction. Please note that Capitol Avenue is now open.

    If you are coming from the North:

    • You can access the Culinary and Conference Center from Meridian Street

    If you are coming from the South:

    • Follow the detour from Fall Creek to Illinois Street

    *Parking: If the surface lot near the Culinary and Conference Center is full you will still be able to access the surface lot and parking garage south of the Conference Center.

    2017 Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Annual Report

    The Rotary Foundation of Indianapolis is a private, stand-alone corporation that serves as the primary community charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis.

    Annual contributions to the Foundation are added to an eternal endowment fund and allocated income from that fund is utilized to support grants for charitable and educational purposes, primarily in the Indianapolis and Central Indiana areas. Download the 2017 Annual Report.
