Vickie Wolcott
- Name: Vickie L. Wolcott
- Employer: M. J. Schuetz Insurance Services, Inc.
- Year you first joined Rotary Club of Indianapolis: I joined Rotary, the first year women were allowed to join. I am not sure I can tell you the year. However, I believe I was one of the first females to join our club.
- Total years in Rotary: To many to remember.
- Other Rotary Clubs you have belonged to: I have only belonged to the Downtown Rotary Club. However, several years ago, I was approached by the Carmel Rotary Club to do some joint service projects with them, and even helped with their annual Carmel Fest.
- Committees on which you have served: If I remember correctly, I served on the Membership committee for a few years, and became the Chairman at one point. I also served on a welcoming committee, and greeted guests at the beginning on each meeting. I believe served on a few others however, it has been so long ago, I cannot remember completely.
- Offices held (i.e. committee chair or office in other Rotary Clubs): I have been a board member, and a committee chairman.
- Are you a Paul Harris Fellow or a member of the Second Century Society: I am a Paul Harris Fellow. And, I believe I have earned it more than once. I also believe that I have given one to another member. (Julian D. Pace).
- What other community groups or organizations are you involved with? Currently, I am an active member of the University of Indianapolis Alumni Board of Directors. I have been asked to join the Executive committee, as well as be the liaison between the Alumni Board and the University Admissions office. I sit on an advisory board for Frankenmuth Insurance Company, and recently became a designated instructor for State of Indiana, where I teach fundamental insurance basics to folks who are in the process of getting their construction licenses with the State.
- Why do you want to be a Board Member? I have always believed that if you are going to be a member or a part of something, it should not be in name only. I can accomplish this by being a Board member.
