December 1, Mayor Gregory Ballard
By Indy Rotary on November 28, 2015

Gregory A. Ballard is the Republican mayor of Indianapolis and will complete his second term at the end of December. On Tuesday, November 6, 2007, he defeated incumbent Democratic Mayor Bart Peterson and it was described as one of the biggest upsets in the political history of Indiana. Ballard was re-elected in November 2011 and has experienced a rich legacy of improving Indianapolis, including creating an administration and city culture that embraces energy savings, including the massive expansion of bike lanes and modifying the city fleet of vehicles. Join us as we honor his tenure as mayor and thank him for service.
