  • April 19: Special Networking Program

A founding principle of Rotary was to meet periodically to enjoy camaraderie and enlarge one’s circle of business and professional acquaintances. As the oldest service club in the world, Rotary club members represent a cross-section of the community’s owners, executives, managers, political leaders, and professionals – people who make decisions and influence policy. Join us on Tuesday as we connect and build better friendships. This is a great opportunity to get to know other Rotarians on a more personal level. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect!

  • 7,218 Meals Headed to Ukraine

    7,218 Meals Headed to Ukraine

This past Saturday, 14 Rotarians along with 13 guests packed 7,218 meals at Pack Away Hunger, which has made arrangements for the food to be sent to Ukraine through Romania.

Rotarian and Pack Away Hunger Executive Director Abby Harlan showed a news video prepared by her contact at the UN Foundation, Christina Katrakis. The video makes clear how desperate the situation in Ukraine is and lets us know that our food shipment is needed and welcome.

The more than $2,300 needed to pay for the rice, soy, vegetables and vitamins came from both an Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Civic Entrepreneurship Grant and from the Community Service Committee’s funding, also from our Foundation.

Many thanks to those who made time Saturday to help and to the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation.

  • Donate to Rotary International Foundation’s Ukraine Disaster Response Fund

Donate to Rotary International Foundation’s Ukraine Disaster Response Fund

Rotary and Rotaract clubs bordering Ukraine have taken swift action to help over four million Ukrainian refugees since Russia invaded Ukraine five weeks ago.

Clubs in neighboring Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, are coordinating efforts throughout the region to get the supplies needed by relief organizations and medial teams to care for over four million–mostly women and children—who have fled Ukraine. Ukraine had 62 Rotary clubs, six satellite clubs and 24 Rotaract clubs.

The International Rotary Foundation has created a funding channel that Rotarians can use to help, the Disaster Response Fund.

    Two ways to donate:

    • Write a check to Rotary International Foundation, write Disaster Response Fund in the memo line and mail it to our Rotary Club’s office (3202 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208) or bring it to a Tuesday program and give to Jamie Hanan or Jenni Agramonte.
    • Donate online https://my.rotary.org/en/disaster-response-fund

Contributions made before April 30 will be expedited into grants for water, food, shelter, medicine and clothing to agencies assisting refugees across Europe.

Take action and help provide compassionate aid for families like ours. Join my husband Bob and me by donating today.

    Rotary International Foundation Committee
