| Join us Tuesday to hear from Rod Buffington the Rotary Past District Governor for 6460 in Western Illinois. For the past nine years Rod has been creating Watercolor Quilt paintings of the Rotary International themes as well as Major League Baseball teams. He donates the original painting to each Rotary International President and sells prints to Rotary members with the proceeds supporting the Rotary International Foundation’s End Polio Now campaign. Rod will share about his paintings and his career of becoming an internationally known Watercolor Quilt Artist. Rod has been a Rotarian for over 50 years and has served as Rotary Club of Springfield, Illinois Club President, Rotary District Group Exchange Chair, District Group Exchange Leader and the Land of Lincoln President Elect Training Co-Founder. He was recognized in 2015 as a Rotary International Service Above Self award recipient. Rod is a former art teacher and professor at Eastern Illinois University and the former director of the Springfield Art Association. All are welcome at Rotary programs.
