November 29: Service Project with ISBVI

| Join the Rotary Club of Indianapolis for our Fifth Tuesday program, where we use our time together for community service. The club will welcome school leaders from the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI) as they share more information about the 175 year old institution that provides educational resources and education for children and young adults up to age 22. After we learn about the mission of the ISBVI, members will spend time creating Food Packs for selected families to help supplement their groceries over the two week holiday in December. Why food boxes? Families with children at this school often have extra burdens. It is estimated that 66% of children with vision impairments suffer from additional disabilities, putting additional financial and emotional stress on families with blind or visually impaired children. We look forward to packing up some holiday cheer for these families in hopes we bring a bit of support at a time they need it most. Join us in this community service activation! All are welcome at Rotary programs. If attending in-person at the Murat Shrine reservations and prepayment are appreciated, but not required.
