January 4: Patrick Talty

Join us on Tuesday to hear from Patrick Talty the Chief Operating Officer at Indiana Sports Corp. He is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of three departments: events, marketing and public relations and youth programs. In addition, he contributes to the strategic planning and direction of the organization and plays a lead role with relationship management, bidding and organizational best practices. 

In his previous role as general manager of U.S. Bank Stadium, Talty was responsible for the overall management and operation of the stadium. Talty successfully led his team through the opening and first year of operations at the stadium, followed by subsequent years hosting premier sporting events including the 2016 International Champions Cup, Vikings home games, Super Bowl LII and the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four. 

Prior to Minnesota, Talty was the Senior Vice President for Live Events at World Wrestling Entertainment. He was responsible for touring and marketing over 400 events across three brands worldwide each year. He came to WWE from serving as Regional General Manager of Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, UAE. While in the Middle East, he was responsible for the overall management of Zayed Sports City which contained the National Soccer Stadium, a tennis center, an Olympic sized ice rink, and an international bowling alley. In addition, he was responsible for a purpose built concert venue, and consulted on several sports construction projects in the region.  

Talty was part of the opening and management team of State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona, the home of the Arizona Cardinals. There he was part of hosting the annual Fiesta Bowl game, the first ever BCS National Championship game and Super Bowl XLII.

Talty began his career in Indianapolis at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome and earned a degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.
