November 29: Katie Smardo, Rotary District 6560 Governor
Each year, our club invites our Rotary District Governor to present to the club to share their vision and goals for supporting and growing the clubs around our Districct. On Tuesday, District Governor Katie Smardo will join us. Katie has been a Rotarian since 2003 and it is believed she might be the youngest District Governor in Distirct 6560’s history.
Her message on Tuesday will be inspirational for all, but will also focus on the future of Rotary and how we can continuosly engage more young professionals. She has said, “We need more willing hands, more caring hearts, and more bright minds to move our work forward. We need clubs that are flexible, so Rotary service will be attractive to younger members and recent retirees and working people. We need to seek out new partnerships, opening ourselves more to collaborative relationships with other organizations, to achieve even more together.” It should be an inspiring conversation and opportunity, we hope you’ll join us.
