The Rotary Club of Indianapolis welcomes Danielle Shockey, Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana on Tuesday, November 3

Join us on Tuesday to hear from Danielle Shockey the Chief Executive Officer for Girls Scouts of Central Indiana. Danielle will speak with us about the importance of investing in young female leaders.

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana serves 29,000 girls in partnership with 12,000 adults across 45 counties in Indiana. A Girl Scout alum, Danielle’s experience serving Indiana’s youth spans a career of 20 years, including Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Indiana Department of Education, college dean, school principal and educator.

Danielle’s experience at the Department of Education included leading the vision and operations of 22 distinctly different divisions such as College and Career Readiness, STEM, Career and Technical Education, special education, eLearning, federal grants, educator effectiveness, and school safety.

A nationally recognized leader in the Girl Scout Movement, Danielle serves on Girl Scouts of the USA’s Strategic Advisory Committee and their STEM Pledge Advisory Board. She also serves on the Conner Prairie Education Task Group. Danielle was recognized as a Woman of Influence by the IBJ and received the Indiana Women of Achievement Award for Distinction in Innovation and Leadership for Young Women from Ball State University.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ball State University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Indiana University.

All are welcome at Rotary programs. If attending in-person at Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center reservations and prepayment are required. Due to current guidelines only 50 seats are available. Register on Square at https://rotary-club-of-indianapolis.square.site/Lunch will be available starting at 11:45 a.m. and the program runs 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. Since Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center is a polling site we will hold our program in the second floor ballroom. Please use the front entrance doors to enter and exit the building.

While our Tuesday programs via Zoom are free to attend a suggested donation of $3-$5 is appreciated in lieu of the typical room fee.
