  • July 8: Andrew Green

    July 8: Andrew Green

Join us Tuesday as we welcome Andrew Green, Assistant Executive Director of the Shepherd Community Center.

Founded in 1985, Shepherd Community Center has spent nearly four decades working to break the cycle of poverty on the near Eastside of Indianapolis. Through a comprehensive Continuum of Care, the organization supports neighbors from cradle to career and beyond, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs with a wide range of programs for children, teens, adults, and families.

Andrew will speak about The Ruby Project, a significant initiative launched in honor of Shepherd’s 40th anniversary. What began as a small group serving Thanksgiving meals in 1985 has grown into a community anchor that now serves more than 10,000 individuals annually. As part of this milestone project, Shepherd will break ground this month on a new Health and Wellness Center, expanding its capacity to serve the community with a holistic, neighborhood-based approach.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience to his role. He began his career working with at-risk youth in Detroit and earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Since joining Shepherd in 2006, he has served in several key leadership roles and remains deeply involved in both the organization and the community.

We hope you will join us for this impactful program and hear firsthand how the Shepherd Community Center continues to transform lives and what lies ahead in its next 40 years.
