    Join us Tuesday for a special offsite program at the Indiana Historical Society. Please note that we will not be meeting at the Rathskeller.

    Lunch: Available in the Stardust Terrace Café. We recommend arriving between 11:15–11:30 am to allow time to select your meal before the lunch rush. Rotary Value Club members should check in with Jamie Hanan upon arrival and your lunch will be covered. You may eat in the café or in the adjacent meeting room.

    Program: At 12:15 pm, our meeting will begin in the adjacent meeting room with remarks from Jody Blankenship, President & CEO of the Indiana Historical Society. We will then head upstairs to view some of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis archives housed at IHS.

    If your schedule allows, wristbands will be provided for you to enjoy the IHS exhibits after the meeting.

    Parking: Available in the IHS lot at New York and West Streets (first-come, first-served). Please remember to validate your ticket at the welcome desk before leaving.

    Note: A Zoom option will not be available for this offsite meeting.

    We’re excited to welcome Ryan Henry, Governor of Rotary District 6560, as our speaker on Tuesday! Ryan oversees 42 clubs across the District and brings a wealth of experience from his service as District Assistant Governor, District Learning Facilitator, and as President of the Indianapolis-East Rotary Club (2020–2022). He’ll share his passion for Rotary along with a look at what’s ahead in the new Rotary year.

    Join the Rotary Club of Indianapolis 5:31 Club at the home of Marie and Gary Koenig on Wednesday, September 10. 

    Who: Rotarians, friends, guests, and anyone wanting to learn more about Rotary.

    What: No agenda, just the regular monthly social get-together.

    When: September 10, from 5:31 pm till 7:00 pm, or whenever you can be there.

    Where: 1335 E. 77th Street, Indianapolis

    Beer, wine, smoked salmon, a charcuterie board, and chips with dip will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite libation. Please park on the street.

    Sept. 11: Rotary Youth Exchange Callout Meeting

    Do you know a high school student or even a middle school student who is curious about living and learning in another country?

    Rotary District 6560 (Central Indiana) is hosting a virtual callout meeting for the Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) program on Thursday, September 11 at 8:00 pm.

    What it is: A full academic year abroad, sponsored by Rotary, an international service organization.

    Why it matters: Rotary Youth Exchange is one of the most affordable ways to study abroad in high school, while also building leadership skills and a spirit of service.

    August 19: Dr. Vanchit John

    Join us Tuesday at noon as we welcome Dr. Vanchit John, Chair of the Department of Periodontology at the IU School of Dentistry.

    Dr. John has been part of the school since 1992, completing his dental and periodontology training in both Madras, India, and at IU. In 1999, he joined the faculty, and by 2007, became Chair of the department. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. John also maintains a private practice focused on Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

    His many honors include being named O’Leary-Hancock Endowed Professor in 2023 and receiving the IU President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2024.

    Dr. John will share an inside look at the latest research, developments at the dental school, and a deeper understanding of periodontology today.
