    NEW DATE – February 1: 5:31 Club Wine Tasting

    Please note the event has been changed to Tuesday, February 1 due to the potential of inclement weather on Wednesday.

    Join us at this year’s 5:31 Club Wine Tasting event hosted by Rotarian Matt Burnett and his wife Jill!

    When: February 1, starting at 5:31 p.m., ending at 7:00 p.m.

    Where: 1311 Regal Drive, Carmel, IN, 46032

    The rules are simple:

    1. Bring your favorite bottle of wine ($30 or less)
    2. Sample a few wines
    3. Vote on your phone
    4. Learn the results that evening.
    5. Have fun!!

    Wines that need to be chilled (most whites) will be wrapped in foil and assigned a number. Wines that don’t need to be chilled (most reds) will be wrapped in brown bags and numbered.

    This is a wine TASTING, but just in case, ride shares from Uber or Lyft will be available. Drink responsibly.

  • January 5:31 Club – Guggman Haus

    Join us for a beer at 5:31pm on January 5th – and stay for dinner if you can!

    You’ll find Rotarians gathered at Guggman Haus, a small microbrewery that delivers bold versions of modern and experimental beers in a welcoming retreat. They are located on the old stomping grounds of the Boyle Racing Headquarters on the northwest side of downtown Indianapolis (1701 Gent Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46202).

    If you’d like to stay for dinner, Guggman now offers a small, but eclectic menu from their Cabin Kitchen. Then stay for Trivia night which starts at 7:30 pm.

  • November 17: Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Fashion Fundraiser

    Please join Indy Rotary female presidents, past and future, Elaine Bedel, Peggy Blackard, Ramona Adams and Jenny Dexter as they host a unique Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Fundraiser for the women of our club. 

    On Wednesday, November 17th from 6-8pm at Meridian Hills Country Club, all female Indy Rotarians and spouses/partners of our male members are invited to attend a cabi Fashion Show and Experience in support of the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation.  A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Foundation and guests will have the ability to donate without purchase, as well. We’ll have drinks and hors d’ouvres and some fantastic models that you know and love!  It’s sure to be a fabulous time with fantastic women…all for a great cause.     November 5:31 Club: Bonfire Event

    On behalf of your Rotary Club of Indianapolis Social Events Committee, please join us for a special outdoor backyard bonfire 5:31 event at the home of Rotarian, Stan Jacobs and his wife, Marilyn.

    All guests are encouraged to bring their own beverage of choice with snacks, water and seating provided by your host.

    Ample parking is available in a common area in front of the Jacobs’ home and in their driveway. There will also be directional signage.

    Please join us for this fun fall event, and all members, and their guests are welcome.

    What: Colts vs Jets viewing party with fellow Rotarians and guests. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.

  • October 6: 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off

    Join us for a special edition of the 5:31 Club which includes the 8th annual Chili Cook-off at Black Acre Brewing Bier Garden ( 5529 Bonna Ave #9, Indianapolis, IN 46219) on Wednesday, October 6. Everyone in attendance can vote for their first and second choices. The winner will be announced that evening.

    Throw your hat into the ring by emailing Norm Melzer at normmelzer@gmail.com no later than Tuesday, September 28th if you think you have the best chili in Rotary. Win bragging rights for the entire year! Don’t delay! Ten entrants maximum.

    We plan to meet outdoors, weather permitting. Reservations and punctuality not required! 5:31 meet-and-greets are our most popular event get-togethers. They are a fun way to get to know folks outside of our regular Tuesday programs. We always meet at a new location somewhere in the city

    September 19: Environment & Beautification Service Project

    Join us for the Environment & Beautification Committee’s Indy Do Day Service Project at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired on Sunday, September 19 from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. You do not have to be a member of the committee to participate.

    Volunteers will be clearing brush and some trees along the school’s property, removing a daylily bed and weeding one of the dorms.

    Water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray will be provided. Please bring the following if you have it: chain saw, pole pruner, loppers, gloves, hoe, soil knife, weed digger and knee pads!  Contact Marie Koenig at koenigmarie55@gmail.com or 317-509-0525 by Saturday, September 11 to participate.
