Before joining the CDC Dr. Halverson served as the senior health policy advisor for the North Carolina Department of Environment, Health and Natural Resources.

Dr. Nir Menachemi is the Fairbanks Endowed Chair and serves as Chair of the Health Policy and Management department of the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health and holds the rank of Professor. He also holds an appointment as Scientist with the Regenstrief Institute, an internationally recognized informatics and healthcare research organization that is dedicated to the improvement of health through research that enhances the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care.
