The goal of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is to increase tree cover in Indianapolis by planting 100,000 large trees – with trunks 1″ in diameter or larger at planting time -in strategic locations. Together we can grow our city’s tree canopy and make Indy a better place to live, work, and play. KIB’s marketing and promotions plan provides many opportunities for positive exposure to hundreds of neighborhoods, including thousands of residents, volunteers, and online followers. Sometimes, keeping our city beautiful is as simple as planting a tree. Trees enhance our lives in more ways than you might think. KIB coordinates a number of programs dedicated to planting, preserving, and educating people about trees. (Visit kibi.org for more information!) On Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 am -12 pm, join the Rotary Environment and Beautification Committee at 3433 N. Central Ave. 46205 at Constitution Gardens GreenSpace, where we’ll be planting trees and perennials, spreading mulch, and perhaps raking gravel for walkways. Sept. 17: White River Clean-Up Project
Join Rotarian friends and guests in volunteering to clean up a small section of the White River. We’ll work both the shoreline and the river (in canoes). Families are welcome. When we did this last year, we had a blast! And we pulled about 3,000 pounds of junk and litter from the river.
Join us Sat., Sept. 17 from 9 am till 1 pm or any portion thereof. The precise location is yet to be selected by Friends of the White River. All are welcome.

June 28: Celebration Dinner & Fundraiser
Our club will NOT be meeting for lunch on June 28. Instead, we hope you’ve purchased your tickets for the Celebration Dinner, which will be a delightful opportunity to gather and celebrate the Rotary year.
Tickets are still available for the dinner. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, June 24 by 11 a.m. on Square. The public is welcome and encouraged to join us for this spectacular night.
