| Our club’s community service efforts continue on Saturday, April 3rd as we gather at Pack Away Hunger (PAH) to pack food for those who are food-insecure. Pack Away Hunger is located at 5230 Park Emerson Drive, Suite A on the city’s southeast side near I-465 and Emerson. Plan to work from 9am until 11 am. We are seeking 24 Rotarians and guests. The minimum age for participation is 5 years old, so you can make this a family project. And kids don’t just show up to watch adults work. PAH’s production lines are engineered so that kids can be genuine contributors. PAH is a great way to get youngsters started in volunteerism. PAH is paying close attention to COVID-19 protocols, requiring the use of masks and extending work areas to provide adequate social distancing. Thank you to all of those who attended the December 15 Holiday Program!Fun was had by all as we were entertained by Pavel Polanco-Safadit and Leah Crane, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir and enjoyed videos from organizations that have received funding from the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation. December 15: Annual Holiday Program

The Past Presidents Chorus in collaboration with the Indianapolis Children’s Choir will regale us with their singing, and you will hear from organizations around the world that have benefited from the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation.
Throughout the program there will be special opportunities to raise money for our Indianapolis Rotary Foundation. There will even be Indiana Pacers suite tickets available and the proceeds will go to the Foundation. Thanks to Rotarian Kevin Bower with Pacers Sports and Entertainment for his help in securing this unique experience.

2020-2021 Community Grants Awarded
Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Announces Community Grant Recipients $60,000 in funding distributed to three Indianapolis nonprofits
Indianapolis, IN (December 1, 2020): The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation awards annual Community Grants through a competitive application and review process. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation only accepted grant applications this year from organizations that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 virus. The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2020-21 Community Grants.
• Dayspring Center Family Emergency Shelter will receive $25,000 to ensure families experiencing homelessness have daily meals and a safe, clean private room to keep them together and healthy during the pandemic.
• School on Wheels Corp will receive $25,000 to support the increased reliance on part-time staff who operate tutoring and academic intervention services to children and families impacted by homelessness. Their 17 partner locations throughout Indianapolis include emergency shelters, transitional living facilities, and local schools.
• Center of Wellness for Urban Women will receive $10,000 to assist Marion County families who have lost their employment or have become ill due to COVID-19 by offering financial assistance for rent, utilities, and food.
“We had over 45 applications submitted this year. The applicants highlight the incredible needs and services provided throughout Central Indiana,” says Indianapolis Rotary Foundation President Bill Bubenzer. “We appreciate the hard work of all those who submitted applications and are confident that our Community Grant recipients will use their funding to make a significant community impact.”

2020 Community Grants: Apply Online
The 2020 Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Community Grant guidelines have been posted to our website. The Foundation intends to award two grants of $25,000 each and one grant of $10,000.
The online grant application can be found here. Applications are due by June 22, 2020. Applicants must be nonprofits who serve Central Indiana. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the officers and directors of the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation have decided to only accept 2020-21 Community Grant Applications from organizations that have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

2019 Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Annual Report
The Rotary Foundation of Indianapolis is a private, stand-alone corporation that serves as the primary community charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis.

December 17: Annual Holiday Program
Welcome The Mimes for our Annual Holiday Program!
Join us for our Holiday Program featuring The Mimes. The Mimes band is led by Rotarian Tommy Miller of the Indy Metro Club. In addition to the entertainment, you’ll want to attend because the program is one of the most popular of the year- you’ll see old friends and make new ones. The Past Presidents Chorus will also regale us with their singing and there will be a cash bar for those that may want to make their lunch more festive.
Throughout the program there will be special opportunities to raise money for our Indianapolis Rotary Foundation. There will even be Mini F1b Labradoodle puppies available for adoption and the proceeds will go to the Foundation. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!
All are welcome at Rotary programs. The lunch buffet opens at Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center at 11:45 a.m. and the program runs 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. See you there!

2019-20 Community Grants Awarded
Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Announces Community Grant Recipients $80,000 in funding distributed to five Indianapolis nonprofits
Indianapolis, IN (December 3, 2019): The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation awards annual Community Grants through a competitive application and review process. The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2019-20 Community Grants.
• Brooke’s Place for Grieving Young People will receive $25,000 to fund a Survivors of Suicide (SOS) program specifically targeting and benefiting children, teens, and young adults ages 3 to 29 in and around Marion County, as well as their family members or caregivers, who have experienced the death of a loved one by suicide. The program will provide no-cost individual therapy services, suicide-specific grief resources, and grief support awareness and education.
• Elevate Indianapolis will receive $25,000 to expand their Post-Secondary Preparation Program at George Washington High School. The program equips, trains and prepares high school students to be successfully enrolled, enlisted or employed upon graduation.
• Kids Dance Outreach, Inc. will receive $10,000 to support their in-school program in two schools which will positively impact the lives of 125 children through joyful dance programs that inspire excellence, instill confidence, encourage teamwork, and applaud persistence.
• Purchased, Inc. will receive $10,000 to fund their My Life My Choice (MLMC) program, a ten-week curriculum serving upper middle school and high school girls ages 12 to 17 who are at risk for or have been sexually exploited or trafficked in Indiana. The program will focus on changing attitudes and perceptions about the commercial sex industry, understanding healthy relationships, learning about sexual health and substance abuse, and building skills that reduce the risk of exploitation.
• The Society of St. Andrew, Inc. will receive $10,000 to increase their ability to glean and distribute approximately 111,000 pounds or 333,000 servings of fresh produce to those in Central Indiana who are food insecure.
