7,218 Meals Headed to Ukraine
This past Saturday, 14 Rotarians along with 13 guests packed 7,218 meals at Pack Away Hunger, which has made arrangements for the food to be sent to Ukraine through Romania.
Rotarian and Pack Away Hunger Executive Director Abby Harlan showed a news video prepared by her contact at the UN Foundation, Christina Katrakis. The video makes clear how desperate the situation in Ukraine is and lets us know that our food shipment is needed and welcome.

The more than $2,300 needed to pay for the rice, soy, vegetables and vitamins came from both an Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Civic Entrepreneurship Grant and from the Community Service Committee’s funding, also from our Foundation.
Many thanks to those who made time Saturday to help and to the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation.
