2023-2024 Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Community Grants
Indianapolis Rotary Foundation Announces Community Grant Recipients
$95,000 in funding distributed to five Indianapolis nonprofits
The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation awards annual Community Grants through a competitive application and review process. The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023-24 Community Grants.
- Community Alliance of the Far Eastside will receive $25,000 to purchase a community cooler in partnership with HATCH to be installed in a communal residential location on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis, offering fresh, nutritious food to food-insecure neighbors in one of the country’s largest food deserts.
- Indiana Diaper Bank will receive $25,000 to purchase 136,000 diapers. This will allow Indiana Diaper Bank to expand their reach to additional community partners. The community partners will distribute the diapers to caregivers of infants and toddlers in need in central Indiana.
- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Indianapolis Chapter will receive $25,000 to purchase and install coolers, freezers, and shelving at the new Love Your Neighbor Center food pantry. The food pantry will assist approximately 300 Marion County neighbors each week.
- Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council will receive $10,000 for the final production and post-production of Sweet Lorraine in Auschwitz, a documentary of first-hand accounts of the Holocaust. The project will increase the historical knowledge base of Indiana students, combat antisemitism, and serve as a living history of the Holocaust.
The Indianapolis Rotary Foundation is a private, stand-alone corporation that serves as the community charitable arm of the Rotary Club of Indianapolis. Each year, the Foundation generously donates almost $200,000 annually to projects and organizations in the Central Indiana Area that promote the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”
