Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Senator Richard Lugar Speaks at Rotary Club of Indianapolis. Senator Richard Lugar graced the Rotary Club of Indianapolis on Tuesday, August 31. Senator Lugar delivered a passionate speech, which covered many current world issues. Additionally, Senator Lugar endorsed our upcoming Gleaner’s Food Bank project and our Centennial Celebration. Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Public Safety Director, Frank Straub Program. Since January, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has been challenged by a series of events that have diminished our legitimacy, community trust and confidence. Recently, Mayor Ballard, Chief Ciesielski and the Director of Public Safety announced a series of reform initiatives to address the issues raised by these events. The Director discusses the reform initiatives, their implementation, and the progress being made by the Department of Public Safety / Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department to address community concerns. February 18, 2010. Member Spotlight – Brian Buchanan. In March, our Member Spotlight will feature Brian Buchanan, CFSP, Principal of Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Homes. Brian was the Chairman of the Rotary Foundation from 1997 to 2000 and is presently active in many areas of our club.
